Places to go:

Burgos

I went to Burgos last weekend and I was so delighted of the city that I just wanted to let you know!

Burgos was founded in 884 and its historical heritage is immediately evident to every visitor. Its a monumental town and it has a really charming medieval northern castilian ambience.

The gothic cathedral dominates the scenery, but there are many other important monuments such as the Cartuja de Miraflores or the Monastery of Las Huelgas.

The town is very quiet and, I thought, especially clean for Spanish standards. ;)

After a sightseeing-tour take a walk through one of the beautiful parks and try out Burgos' exquisite cuisine afterwards!

When you're there you shouldn't miss to visit the surroundings of the town as well. You will find some villages of really extraordinary historical and artistical value.

Cheers, Chris
